Sometimes, things happen that you don’t anticipate. Those things can throw all your plans out of whack, so to speak.
Earlier this month, my dog was hit by a car. She’s still alive, though she has needed much care and several veterinary visits thus far. Anyone who has ever paid for x-rays, medicine, overnight stays, anaesthesia and so forth is aware that these costs are not cheap.
No, I am not asking for a handout.
However, because of this unexpected series of events, money has become an issue. Also, seeing how I have not sold a single print or gift in the time this photography site has been active; plus the fact that I have been unable to take or add any new photos for a while now, I have decided to move this site into a slightly different direction.
Yes, photos will still be up and available.
Yes, I intend to add more pictures and update the whole prints section (once certain situations improve).
The change you can expect will be the adding of new products. I would like to start selling organic, green, eco-friendly, not-animal-tested products on this site.
Not a vast amount of products–it won’t be like a Walmart–but at least something to pick things up a bit and add variety other than photos. Whether I do this by wholesale or attempt to create my own series of…something or another..remains to be seen.
This seemed a bit more important than a regular “News Update”, which is why I posted it to the blog instead of the News section on the website.
There is one thing you can do, if you wish to help (or rather, several things):
If there is any type of product you would like to see (pet care, herbs, books, etc.), let me know.
If you can recommend any good wholesalers or wholesale programs, let me know.
If you would like to have some of your own products listed on the site, let me know.
Remember, all products I will be listing will be those considered completely: green, recycled/recyclable, organic, or not-animal-tested. I will not involve myself with greenwashing or false advertising (i.e. if you claim your product is organic, but it contains harmful ingredients, it won’t be sold here).
